The new function for creating modelling topics in the 3D viewer makes the BIMkeeper platform into a one-stop shop for the management of all CAD/Bim drawings.

Several customers have already discovered the advantage of our modelling-capacity in combination with the "Topic" function of our platform. Amendment requests can be sent directly to a modelling agency via the 3D viewer. Naturally BIMkeeper supports the usage of diverse BIM-agencies including our own.

An example can be viewed in the short video. Two safety measures were absent in the viewer: an emergency phone and a first aid kid.

Aided by the photographs and a selection of elements in the 3D model our modelers will know exactly where the supplies should be added. Due to the attached photograph/screenshot and a viewpoint in the model all necessary information is available: complex, address, floor, which wall, etc.. On top of that information regarding the element can be added as well, for example a manual, dimensions, etc..

Once the information is complete and communicated to the BIM-agency the modelers can start working. The entirety of the process, including the scheduled time, can be followed. In case that the user has any inquiries all communication can be done on the application.

The usage of topics has many advantages:

Tasks can be designated to a specific modeler eliminating the time required for the deliberation of the task.
Real-time status can be watched closely.
Each topic will have a unique page for communication.
All communication can be done on the application.
A client can accept or deny a revision and/or solution provided by the modeler.
New RVT and IFC versions will be automatically placed.

In short this procedure is more foolproof and gives an up-to-date view of the developments.

IRP bases all of its web development on the ISO 19650 standard for the development and full lifecycle of buildings. Formerly known as the BSI 1192-X. This standard has now been almost fully implemented in BIMkeeper.
